Louis Vuitton “Superflat Monogram” video by Takashi Murakami
In my (failed) attempt to find on the web that Murakami video starring Kirsten Dunst, I stumbled upon this very interesting short animation film he did for Louis Vuitton. I really dig the music on this.
Sidenote: I think the little girl is having one hell of a trip.

The Cove (2009) by Louie Psihoyos
Powerful documentary following a team of marine activists and filmmakers as they put together a black op to infiltrate the heavily guarded cove of Taiji, a remote village in Japan, where more than 20,000 dolphins get slaughtered every year. It’s a blood bath and the footage they snatched of the entire cove turning red is disturbing.
Now I really want to free Willy.
Ironically, I went to see this film right after devouring my own weight in sushi at Ten Ten Tei, my favourite Japanese caf in London. Anyway, remember folks: chose the safest fish to eat.
Japanese ad scored by RAC
No idea what’s going there, but who cares, I find Japanese ads endlessly entertaining.
Fuck Buttons’ “The Lisbon Maru” makes a perfect soundtrack to this Codehunters animation clip. Those anime characters are total bad-asses.
A serious Man (2009) by the Coen Brothers
What a great trailer. Impossible to tell if I’m going to love or loath this film, but I’m pretty sure it’s going to be one or the other.
Final scene of Big Night (1996) by Campbell Scott and Stanley Tucci
This is pure cinema magic.

Opening scene of Eat Drink Man Woman (1994) by Ang Lee
Chinese cuisine has never looked as sexy as in this celluloid ode to food. The opening scene is so mouth-watering that you’d better have something worthy to appease your taste buds while watching it. Luckily, I had saucisson, warm bread and red wine at hand.

Currently enjoying the mystery guest segments of What’s my line? (courtesy of youtube)…Hitchcock is one of the most amusing.

Get The Blessing - So It Goes / Yes I Said Yes I Will Yes
Get The Blessing have been uplaoding a bunch of visual accompaniments to tracks from their freshly released sophomore album, Bugs In Amber. The album is great (not much of a departure from their first), the videos rather interesting. “So It Goes / Yes I Said Yes I Will Yes” is my favourite of the pack and the visuals fit the music perfectly. These are two consecutive tracks that work as one, “So It Goes” slowly building up to the explosive “Yes I Said Yes I Will Yes”. The transition happens 3.10 mins into the video, just when colours start appearing and things start heating up.
Sidenote: I also like the visuals for The Word for Moonlight Is Moonlight and The Speed of Dark.

Awesome.
Awesome doesn’t cover it. I’m going all caps on this one, and with a pause halfway through for dramatic effect. AWE…SOME.
